The Real-Time Workshop

a fixed, user-specified sample rate. Continuous time models are incorporated
into this code with the simple provision that their states are propagated
using fixed-step size integration algorithms.
• A high-performance stand-alone simulation — use the generated code with
the generic real-time system target file to produce an executable for
stand-alone simulations. At the end of the simulation, the executable
produces a
model.mat file that contains the MATLAB variables that were
logged in Simulink. This MAT-file is used for analysis in MATLAB.
You can also use the stand-alone generic real-time simulation environment
for code validation since you can directly compare results against Simulink.
