Platform Limitations

For Release 13, all the features described in these Release Notes and in the

Release 13 documentation are supported in full for the following platforms:

•Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 98, and

Windows Millenium Edition

•Compaq Alpha

•Linux

•SGI

•Sun Solaris

The MathWorks Web site provides a complete description of system

requirements for MathWorks products.

Note As in Release 11 and Release 12, there are some minor differences

between Windows and UNIX for specific tools, as documented for those tools.

Macintosh Platform Release Notes

The Macintosh-specific information for this release of MATLAB® is organized

in one document, called Installing and Using MATLAB on Mac OS X. This

document describes

•How to install and use MATLAB on the Mac

•Upgrading issues from previous versions of MATLAB for the Mac

•Differences between the UNIX and Mac versions of MATLAB

•Known problems and limitations with this release

•Troubleshooting information

In the Help browser, you can access Installing and Using MATLAB on Mac

OS X under “Installation” near the top of the Contents pane.
